Terms of Use

This website and its interactive features, applications, social network pages, and microsites (the "Platforms") are operated by Fortis Strategic Partners ("FSP," "we," "us," or "our"). FSP is a concierge insurance platform for advisors and firms who treat insurance as part of the plan. FSP provides insurance brokerage and distribution services to financial professionals. Nothing on the Platforms is an offer of investment advice.The content on the Platforms is provided for general informational purposes for financial professionals. It does not constitute investment, legal, tax, or insurance advice, an offer to sell any product, or a recommendation for any specific strategy. Insurance products are subject to carrier availability, underwriting, and state regulations.
The Platforms are intended for financial professionals, including the advisors and firms that work with us and the personnel of those firms. Certain areas of the Platforms, including the advisor login, are available only to authorized users. The Platforms are not directed to retail insurance consumers, and the information on them is not tailored to any individual consumer's insurance needs.
Please read this Legal Notice/Terms of Use ("Terms of Use") statement carefully before using the Platforms. By using the Platforms, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy.
FSP is part of a group of separately operated, affiliated Fortis-branded businesses. Those affiliates include Fortis Lux Financial, Inc., an insurance agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Fortis Capital Advisors, LLC, an investment adviser registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Each affiliated business operates its own websites and is governed by its own terms of use and privacy policies. These Terms of Use apply only to the Platforms operated by FSP and do not govern the websites or services of those separate affiliated businesses. Additional legal notices, terms and conditions regarding our affiliates or the use of certain of the Platforms may be found elsewhere on the Platforms or on such company's own website, and those additional legal notices, terms and conditions apply with regard to the matters specifically addressed by them. In addition, you may be required to affirmatively consent to additional terms and conditions in order to use certain of the Platforms.
1. Eligibility
In order to use the Platforms, you need to (a) be 18 or older, or be 13 or older and have your parent or guardian's consent to these Terms of Use; and (b) have the power to enter a binding contract with us and not be barred from doing so under any applicable laws in your place of residence. The Platforms are intended for financial professionals and are not directed to children under 13. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you should not access or use the Platforms.
2. Changes to the Terms of Use
We may revise and update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will post a notice on the Platforms prior to the change becoming effective. By continuing to use the Platforms, you agree to any changes or updates.
3. Access and Security
You should be aware that, in general, information sent through the Internet is not secure. Email services that may be provided through the Platforms generally are not encrypted and do not provide a secure and private means of communication with us. Certain services offered on the Platforms may provide a secure means to communicate with us, and you will be advised when you are using such a service. While FSP may provide those technologies and use other reasonable precautions to protect confidential information and provide suitable security, we cannot guarantee that information transmitted through the Internet is secure, or that such transmissions will be free from delay, interruption, interception or error. Confidential information, whether your own or that of any client of yours, should be communicated to us only through a mechanism identified to you as secure, and should not be submitted through a contact form or unencrypted email.
We cannot guarantee or warrant that any part of the Platforms, including files available for download, is free of viruses or other harmful code. It is your responsibility to take appropriate precautions, such as use of an anti-virus software package, to protect your computer hardware and software.You agree not to misuse the Platforms. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platforms or to any account or system, interfering with the operation of the Platforms, scraping or harvesting content from the Platforms, and submitting false or misleading information through any form on the Platforms. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platforms for any such misuse.
4. Online Accounts and Portals
Certain portions of the Platforms are protected by passwords or require use of other credentials in order to access advisor resources, case information, or producer information ("Account" information). You agree to provide FSP with current, complete, and accurate information about you as prompted by the applicable registration process, and you agree to regularly update this information to maintain its completeness and accuracy. You agree to use the Platforms to access only those Accounts on which you are authorized to act, and you agree to use your own user names, credentials, and security questions and answers when accessing Accounts on which you are authorized to act. You agree not to obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorized access to the Platforms through any means not intentionally made available to you by FSP.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any Account information, user names, logins, passwords, and security questions and answers that you, or another person or entity authorized by you, use to access any page or feature on the Platforms, and for logging off of your Account and any protected areas of the Platforms. Further, you are fully responsible for all activities under your Account, user names, passwords, and security questions and answers that result from your negligence, carelessness, misconduct, or failure to use or maintain appropriate security measures. If your credentials or other security details are lost or stolen, or you become aware of any suspicious or unauthorized conduct concerning your Account, you agree to contact us immediately. By accessing the Platforms in your capacity as a representative of a firm or other organization, you acknowledge and agree that you must timely communicate to us if you, or any other person authorized by you to have access to the Account in such capacity, are no longer authorized to have that access. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this paragraph.
Certain portals, quoting tools, application systems, and case management or policy service sites reached from the Platforms are operated by insurance carriers or by third-party technology vendors rather than by FSP. Where that is the case, the terms of use and privacy policy of the provider of that portal or tool apply to your use of it and to the information you submit there.
5. Insurance Brokerage and Distribution Services; Carrier Products
FSP provides insurance brokerage and distribution services to contracted advisors and financial professionals. We work with such professionals and firms to support the insurance component of their client planning, including access to advisor resources, product and carrier information, and case support. FSP is not the issuer of any insurance policy or annuity contract described on the Platforms.
Product availability, eligibility, features, riders, premiums and other charges, and issuance are determined solely by the issuing insurance carrier and are subject to that carrier's underwriting review and approval. Not all products are available in all states or to all proposed insureds, and a product referenced on the Platforms may not be available in a given case. Any quote, illustration, premium estimate, product comparison, or rating information made available through the Platforms is for general informational purposes for the financial professionals who use them, is based on the assumptions and inputs used to generate it, is not an offer of insurance, and is subject to change and to carrier verification.
The policy contract issued by the carrier, together with the carrier's own applications, illustrations, disclosures, and any endorsements or riders, governs the coverage, its terms, its exclusions and limitations, and the rights and obligations of the policyowner. If anything on the Platforms conflicts with the issued policy contract or the carrier's disclosures, the policy contract and carrier disclosures control.
No insurance coverage is bound, applied for, changed, reinstated, or placed in force through the Platforms. Coverage begins only when the issuing carrier approves the application and issues the policy, and only after any required initial premium has been paid and any other condition the carrier imposes has been satisfied. Submitting an inquiry, a resource access request, or a contact form through the Platforms does not create insurance coverage, does not constitute an application for insurance, does not obligate any carrier to issue a policy, and does not by itself create a brokerage, agency, or client relationship between you and FSP.
FSP is not an investment adviser and is not a broker-dealer. Nothing on the Platforms is an offer of investment advice, a recommendation regarding any security, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. You remain responsible for your own advice to, and recommendations for, your clients, including any suitability, replacement, best-interest, and disclosure obligations that apply to you and to your firm.
6. No Offer or Solicitation; Where We Are Licensed
The information contained on the Platforms does not constitute an offer or solicitation for the sale of any insurance product or service in any jurisdiction where FSP or the applicable producer is not licensed, where the issuing carrier is not authorized to transact business, or where the product is not available for sale. No insurance product is offered or will be sold in any jurisdiction in which such offer or solicitation would be unlawful under the laws of that jurisdiction.
Insurance products described on the Platforms are available only in those states and jurisdictions in which FSP and the individual producer involved hold the required insurance licenses and appointments, and only where the issuing carrier is authorized to transact the applicable line of business. Products described on the Platforms generally are not available outside the United States. The Platforms are not intended as a solicitation in any jurisdiction in which FSP is not authorized to transact business.
7. Electronic Communications
By submitting an inquiry through the Platforms or by using the Platforms to access Account or other personal information, you consent to the electronic transmission of that information, including transmission to any email address you provide to us. Information provided to you through the Platforms may involve the electronic transmission of information that you may consider to be personal or confidential business information, or promotional and marketing materials, and you consent to such transmission.
FSP does not accept binding instructions through the Platforms. Applications for insurance, requests to bind or change coverage, beneficiary changes, policy service requests, cancellations, claims, and premium payments are not accepted by email, by contact form, or through any unsecured area of the Platforms, and no such request is effective unless and until it is submitted through the channel designated by FSP or by the issuing carrier and is confirmed by us or by the carrier. Claims must be submitted to the issuing carrier in accordance with the terms of the policy.
Where the Platforms permit you to submit a request through a secure area, you may do so only by following the instructions stated within the applicable log-on section. Problems may occur that are beyond our ability to correct. Access to the Platforms may be limited or unavailable during periods of peak demand, systems upgrading, maintenance, or for other reasons. If you are unable to complete a request due to a system failure, fail to receive confirmation of a request you submitted, or receive confirmation of a request you did not submit, you must contact us immediately. We will not assume responsibility for such system failures and errors.
8. Third Party Content, Products and Services (Including Links)
We permit links from other websites and provide links to other websites simply as a convenience to visitors, and when you click on these links you are leaving our Platforms. The existence of a particular link does not indicate an endorsement by us of the linked site. Links to insurance carrier websites, carrier quoting and illustration tools, electronic application systems, policy service portals, partner sites, and social media profiles are provided for convenience, and your use of those sites and tools is governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of the carrier, partner, or vendor that operates them. Unless otherwise indicated, the linked sites are not under our control or the control of any of our affiliated companies, and we are not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site, or any changes or updates to such sites. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of the information contained in any linked sites and assume no liability for the content or presentation of linked sites. The operators of those other websites may collect information about you through the use of cookies or other web technologies, and we have no control over the privacy or security practices of those third parties. We recommend that you review the privacy, security and terms of use policies and notices of any linked website you may visit.
We are not responsible, and assume no liability, for content displayed on the Platforms that may be provided by another party, including carrier product descriptions, rate and premium data, illustrations, ratings, and third-party commentary. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of any such content. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove links to other websites at any time.
9. Permissible Use of Materials
All of the information and content on the Platforms, including but not limited to all text, graphics, images, software applications and code, video, audio, advisor resources, and user interface design ("Platform Materials"), is the property of FSP or its affiliates, or is being used by FSP with the express permission of a licensor, and is protected by United States and foreign copyright laws and conventions. These Terms of Use permit you to use the Platforms and to download or print a copy of the Platform Materials for your own lawful, internal business use in your professional practice, provided that the copy retains all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials, and provided that any resource we make available for distribution is used only as we expressly authorize, and provided that you give no less than thirty (30) days' prior written notice to a member of FSP's executive leadership before using any Platform Materials beyond your own ordinary internal business use in your professional practice. Any other copying, republication or redistribution, reproduction, uploading, posting, or transmittal of the text or graphics of the Platforms is expressly prohibited without our prior written permission. You can request permission by contacting us using the information in Section 20 below. Notwithstanding any license or permission granted under these Terms of Use, we may revoke, suspend, or modify this license, or your permission to use any Platform Materials, at any time and for any reason in our sole and absolute discretion, with or without notice to you.
You may not modify, reproduce, copy, distribute, transmit, display, publish, download or upload, sell, license, create derivative works of, or use any aspect of the Platforms or the Platform Materials for public purposes, for resale, or for any other purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms of Use. The use of the Platform Materials on any other site or in a networked computer environment for any purpose, or any other republication, redistribution or use of the Platform Materials, including, without limitation, framing the Platform Materials within another site, is expressly prohibited without our prior written permission.
10. Trademarks, Service Marks, and Logos
The trademarks, service marks, logos, URLs and domain names, registered or not, appearing on the Platforms, including, but not limited to, the name "Fortis Strategic Partners," the Fortis Strategic Partners logos, the Fortis flame mark, and combinations and variations of the foregoing, are trademarks or service marks of FSP or its affiliates (the "Marks"). Registered Marks include the Fortis flame mark, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Registration No. 5646712. You may not use, copy, download, display, transmit or modify any Mark in any way without our prior written consent. You may not include the Fortis Strategic Partners name, any Mark, or any variation of the foregoing as a metatag, hidden textual element, or any other indicator that may create an impression of affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or any other relationship between the Platforms, FSP or any affiliate and any other site, person, entity or organization. Unauthorized use may violate trademark and other laws.
The names, logos, and marks of the insurance carriers whose products we distribute, and of any other third party appearing on the Platforms, remain the property of their respective owners. Those marks are used to identify the carriers and products available through our platform, and their appearance on the Platforms does not indicate that the owner sponsors or endorses FSP. Those marks may not be used without the owner's permission.
11. Regulatory Status
FSP is a licensed insurance producer and insurance brokerage that places insurance business with insurance carriers and is compensated by those carriers in connection with the products it places.
FSP is not an investment adviser registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission or with any state, is not a broker-dealer, and is not a bank. It does not provide investment advisory services, does not manage client assets, and does not offer or sell securities through the Platforms. Nothing on the Platforms is an offer of investment advice. Investment advisory services referenced in connection with the Fortis-branded group of companies are provided by a separate affiliated entity under its own regulatory authorizations and its own website terms, as described in the introductory section above.
12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Platforms use cookies and similar technologies. With your consent, the Platforms use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, including pages viewed, approximate location, and how you arrived. Analytics cookies are set only if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner. Choosing "Deny" keeps the site fully functional without them. IP addresses are anonymized. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser, and you can learn how Google processes data at policies.google.com/privacy.
The Platforms also load typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, when fonts load.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we treat information collected through the Platforms, including information collected by these technologies, and controls in the event of any inconsistency with this Section.
13. Electronic Notices; Mobile Devices
You may elect to receive certain documents that we choose to make available to you electronically, including, but not limited to, notices, disclosures, illustrations, resource materials, policy documents, and other communications through the Platforms. By accepting the separate terms of our electronic delivery service, you agree that the documents we provide to you through that service satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. Electronic delivery of documents issued by an insurance carrier is governed by that carrier's own electronic delivery terms and by applicable law.
Through use of the Platforms, you may be able to: (a) upload content to the Platforms by means of your mobile device; (b) browse the Platforms from your mobile device; and (c) access certain features you have downloaded and installed on your mobile device. In order to do so, you must have a mobile communications subscription with a participating carrier, or have the consent of the applicable subscriber, or have access to a mobile communications network. You are solely responsible for paying any service fees associated with any such access, including text messaging and data charges for each text message and any data you send and receive on your mobile device, as applicable. You must provide all equipment and software necessary to connect to the Platforms, including a mobile device that is in working order and suitable for use in connection with the Platforms. You must ensure that your device and software do not disturb or interfere with the Platforms, including the operation of the Platforms. Any equipment or software causing interference will be immediately disconnected from the Platforms, and we may immediately suspend or terminate your further use of the Platforms. If any upgrade to the Platforms requires changes in your equipment or software, you must make these changes at your own expense.
You authorize your wireless operator to disclose your mobile number, name, address, email, network status, customer type, customer role, billing type, mobile device identifiers, and other subscriber and device details, if available, to FSP and its service providers for the duration of the business relationship, solely for identity verification and fraud avoidance. 14. Jurisdiction; Governing Law
We operate the Platforms in and in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New York. We do not represent that the Platforms are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Access from certain locations may be strictly prohibited. Those who access the Platforms do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws. The laws of the State of New York will govern any claims relating to the information contained on the Platforms, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.
If you take legal action relating to the Platforms, you agree to file such action only in the state and federal courts located in the City, County and State of New York, and you consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for the purpose of litigating any such action.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED OR LIMITED BY LAW, YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORMS, ANY CONTENT AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE PLATFORMS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALL INFORMATION PRESENTED THROUGH THE PLATFORMS IS FURNISHED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, FSP DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORMS, THEIR CONTENT, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THEREIN WILL BE ACCURATE, ERROR FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE PLATFORMS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE. FSP DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT ANY QUOTE, ILLUSTRATION, PREMIUM ESTIMATE, PRODUCT COMPARISON, OR CARRIER INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PLATFORMS IS CURRENT, COMPLETE, OR AVAILABLE IN ANY GIVEN CASE, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY CARRIER WILL APPROVE AN APPLICATION OR ISSUE A POLICY. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS OR DISCLAIMS ANY OBLIGATION THAT MAY NOT BE LIMITED OR DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE INSURANCE LAW.
16. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT WILL FORTIS STRATEGIC PARTNERS, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PRODUCERS, REPRESENTATIVES, OFFICERS, MANAGERS OR DIRECTORS (THE "FSP PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORMS, ANY WEBSITES LINKED THROUGH THE PLATFORMS, ANY CONTENT ON THE PLATFORMS, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE PLATFORMS, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, AND LOSS OF DATA, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS ANY LIABILITY THAT MAY NOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, AND NOTHING IN THIS SECTION ALTERS THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS CREATED BY ANY POLICY OF INSURANCE ISSUED BY A CARRIER.
17. Indemnification
YOU AGREE TO RELEASE, DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FSP PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DEMANDS, LIABILITIES, COSTS AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES, RESULTING FROM YOUR BREACH OF ANY PROVISION OF THESE TERMS OF USE, OR ANY WARRANTY YOU PROVIDE UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE, OR OTHERWISE ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORMS. YOU AGREE TO COOPERATE FULLY WITH FSP IN ASSERTING ANY AVAILABLE DEFENSES IN CONNECTION WITH A CLAIM SUBJECT TO INDEMNIFICATION BY YOU UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE.
18. No Legal or Tax Advice
The information provided on the Platforms is not written or intended as specific tax or legal advice and may not be relied on for purposes of avoiding any federal tax penalties. FSP, its employees, producers and representatives are not authorized to give legal or tax advice. You and your clients are encouraged to consult your own attorney, legal counsel, or tax counsel for advice on specific legal and tax matters, including the tax treatment of any life insurance policy or annuity contract.

Certain statements contained on the Platforms are statements of future expectations and other forward-looking statements that are based on current views and assumptions and involve known and unknown risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results, performance or events to differ materially from those expressed or implied in such statements. Actual results, performance or events may differ materially from those in such statements due to, without limitation, general economic conditions, the performance of financial markets, interest rate levels, mortality and morbidity levels and trends, policy persistency levels, the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing carriers, changes in laws and regulations, and general competitive factors, in each case on a national, regional or global basis. FSP does not undertake any obligation to correct or update any forward-looking statements on the Platforms.
